By way of introduction, my name is Jim Sargent and I own and operate Split Rock Reptiles, located in the Houston area of Texas. Split Rock Reptiles started as a relatively small hobby and eventually evolved into an exciting avocation that retains its initial levels of interest and enjoyment. We breed Colubrid snakes (King Snakes, Corn Snakes, Milk Snakes etc.) and a limited number Python species in captivity. We offer captive bred offspring for sale to fellow reptile enthusiasts (beginners to advanced keepers) that share the same passion and appreciation for these rare and beautiful animals. We sell most of our animals through the website but also occasionally attend local and regional Reptile Expos as a vendor.

We maintain a relatively diverse, small-to-medium sized collection, which we started in late 1996. We try to keep our breeding colonies relatively small and usually only produce one or two clutches of eggs per breeding pair each year. All hatchlings and juveniles for sale have been hatched by us unless otherwise noted. We offer our animals on a first come, first served basis but also keep reservation lists for select species. We make a point of selectively breeding only the best animals to produce a variety of vigorous, vividly colored and patterned offspring that measure up to our own expectations. We are personally invested in the health and well being of every hatchling, juvenile and adult snake we own and treat all of them with the care and respect they deserve. No animal leaves our facility unless it is 100% healthy, properly sexed and feeding consistently to our satisfaction.

We guarantee our animals' health, genetics and safe arrival to their new home and are always available to answer our customer's questions regarding husbandry and the specifics of future breeding.
